Tech App V8.45.1 Lets Techs Pick Work Order Types
Work Orders
Pick the category yourself. When you create a Work Order in the app, you can now choose the category or change the one the app suggests. If the suggestion is wrong, fix it right there instead of leaving it for someone else to sort out later. The app still takes a guess. You just get the final say.
Fixes
Vendor Work Orders stopped pretending nobody owns them. Work Orders handed to a vendor were showing up as unassigned. They were assigned the whole time. The app just wasn’t saying so. Now it shows who actually has it.
The app stopped walking out mid-conversation. Moving between several Work Orders could shut the app down with no warning. Switch between as many as you want. It stays put.
Work Orders load again. Some techs had Work Orders that refused to load no matter how many times they pulled to refresh, and a few of you were getting signed out over and over like the app forgot who you were. Both are fixed. Yes, this one should have worked sooner. We agree.
Inspection photos and comments are back where you put them. Photos and comments on completed inspections were saved but didn’t show up on the inspection page or in the PDF. They existed, spiritually. Now they exist visually too.
Comments translate again. Technician comments stopped translating between English and Spanish for a bit. Everyone’s talking to each other again.
Fewer surprise shutdowns. We tracked down a couple of errors that could close the app without saying goodbye. Caught them. Handled.
Small Touches
The app now tells you about long press. Long pressing an unassigned task list puts you in bulk-select mode. It’s been there a while. We finally stopped waiting for you to discover it by accident.
A smoother home screen. The header moves more smoothly, and it stays open when there isn’t enough on screen to scroll. You won’t point at it. You’ll just notice it feels less draggy.
Under the Hood
The app snitches on itself harder now. It records more detail when something breaks, so we spot the problem and fix it faster. Fewer “hey, is this broken?” messages. More “already on it.”
