Tech App V8.41.1 Brings Consecutive Camera Photos and More
This one is built to save time. Shoot a whole batch of photos in one go, see what's open in the unit next door, and reach us with one tap when something goes sideways. Plus a few fixes for things that should have looked right the first time.
Work Orders
Nearby Units: finish the job, then raid the hallway. You're already in 204. Why walk back to the shop when 203 and 205 have open Work Orders? Open a Work Order, tap into Unit Tasks, and you'll find a new Nearby Units tab showing unassigned Work Orders from the 6 nearby units to you.
Camera
One camera session. Up to ten photos. Zero re-tapping. The camera used to kick you out after every shot like a bouncer with something to prove. Now you can take photo after photo in a single session, up to 10 total (including any you'd already picked), then review them with thumbnails, swipe, arrows, and zoom before you confirm. Remove the blurry one, keep the good ones, done. Dismiss the camera and your original selection stays exactly as it was. Works on iPhone and Android, and iPhone users will notice the camera now lives inside AppWork instead of bouncing you out to the phone's camera. That's what made this possible.
Inspections
Creating an inspection looks like we meant it. Three fixes in one. The dropdown field now turns into the search bar when you tap it, so you type right where you're looking. The letters you type get highlighted in the results, so you can see why each match is a match. And the Create Inspection icon is no longer blurry. It was there the whole time, spiritually. Now it's there in focus too.
Support
Call us without leaving the app. There's a new Call AppWork Support option in Settings, right under Report Issue. Tap it and your phone's dialer opens with our number already filled in. The number is saved on your device, so this works even when you're in a basement with zero bars of data. If your phone can't open the dialer for some reason, we'll show you the number so you can dial it yourself.
Syncing
The sync arrow now finishes its sentence. The old spinning arrow would just vanish and leave you guessing whether anything actually happened. Now it spins while syncing, then turns into a checkmark with "Up to date" when it's done. If a refresh fails, you'll still see "Couldn't refresh" so you know to try again. Also, the old arrow was slightly off-center. We know you noticed. We did too.
Bug Fixes
The AppWork logo behind your avatar got its head and feet back. On the home page, the logo behind your profile photo was clipped at the top and bottom, like it was peeking through a mail slot. It now renders in full. Yes, this should have worked sooner. We agree.
