New Tech App Update Adds Live Timers, Task Filters

If you look at the updates on the app stores, you'll notice that the technician app has been getting some serious love over the summer! We've been quietly supercharging your maintenance teams with new superpowers to help them be more efficient and productive! Here are some of the latest features and updates now live for you and your teams to take advantage of:
Work Order Due Dates Work order due dates are now visible from both the home page and task page or when viewing an individual task!
Call Recordings on Work Orders Call recordings can now be played directly from the work order making it easier than ever to listen to what the resident said when AppWork creates work orders from call management, or if it's your thing, you can just play back the recording of the call you had with the resident to see how your voice sounds. Whatever the use, it's now available :)
Filter Tasks by Type You can now filter the task page by the task type (work order, make ready, inspection) even if you only have access to one property. Yeah, don't ask us why that was a limiting factor before…
Asset Tracking in the Tech App Asset Tracking has come to the tech app.
- You can now create new assets directly from the tech app
- You can now view assets and their warranty information from the tech app
- You can now edit assets from the technician app
To add, view or edit assets, click on the 3 dots from the work order, and click on assets.
Redesigned Information Page The information page got a complete redesign making it cleaner and easier to navigate while also bringing the work order history out from hiding making it easier than ever to view the history for the unit.
Hidden Unit Info for Non-Unit Work Orders We now hide the Unit Info section (3 dots) on work orders that aren't tied to a specific unit since we don't have information to show there.
Location Capture AppWork can now capture the location when using the app.
Mention Push Notifications When you are mentioned in a work order, AppWork will now send a push notification to let you know but we've taken it a step further and if you click on the notification, we'll even open up the app and take you to the work order!
Running Timer Visibility Have you started a timer on a work order and then forgot about it? We've made it harder to forget as we now show the running timer directly from the task and the home page.
One Timer at a Time If you have an active timer and you try starting another one, we'll now remind you that you can only be in one place at a time so you don't have more than one running timer at once.
Updated Initials Display If you are one of the few technicians who don't have a profile photo, you should probably have one taken for you. But, in the meantime, we changed the way we display your initials when a photo is missing.
Bug Fixes & Stability
Fixed Unassigned Task Display Fixed an issue where some unassigned tasks (inspections) weren't showing correctly in the app.
