Never Forget a Running Timer Again in 8.40.1

Three things you'll notice right away: your active timer is now live on the home screen, you get a push notification when someone @mentions you in a task, and new technicians can learn the app on a Practice Work Order instead of a real one. Plus a new eSignature tool and a few layout cleanups.

Timers

One timer at a time. That's it. You can no longer run two timers at once, which means the time logged on each Work Order is actually the time you spent on it. Less cleanup later, more credit for the work you did.

The active timer follows you home. Whatever Work Order you're clocked into is pinned to the top of the home screen. You can't lose it. You can't forget it's running. Both of those used to happen.

See the clock without opening the task. Active timers now show right on the home screen. No tapping in to check if you're still on the clock.

Home Screen

More tasks, less header. Scroll and the header collapses out of the way, so you see more of your list and less of ours.

Task Screen

The Scheduled tab stepped aside. It moved over so it's out of your way until you need it. It's still there. It's just not in the middle of everything anymore.

Work Orders

Get tagged, get pinged. When someone mentions you in a Work Order, you get a push notification. Tap it and the app opens straight to that Work Order. No hunting.

Inspections

Signatures, relaunched. The Inspection Signature tool got rebuilt from scratch. Sending an inspection to a resident or anyone else for e-signature is quicker, and resending is no longer a chore.

Training

Practice Work Orders. New techs can now open a Practice Work Order from Settings and run through a real one without the real consequences. Learn the app in ten minutes, not on a resident's kitchen floor.

Download 8.40.1 from the App Store or Google Play. If your techs are still on 8.39, they're probably still looking for their active timer.
