Auto Notify the Right People on Incident Reports
Good news for anyone who has ever had to remember to forward an incident report to the right person: you can stop remembering. Incident Report Contacts are here. Tell AppWork who needs to know about what, at which property, at which stage, and it does the notifying while you do literally anything else.
Elsewhere in this release, work order assignments have moved from text messages to push notifications (the texts had a good run), recurring work orders now get an icon so they stop impersonating regular ones, inspection template dropdowns can hold more characters than they used to, and you can finally see which residents opted out of texts instead of wondering why your messages keep landing in the void. Details below!
Incident Report Contacts
You can now set up contacts and contact types in AppWork to enable automated incident notifications based on the kind of incident, the property, and the status of the incident report.
For example, if you need to notify the asset manager once a claim is approved, you can now set that up. You can also automatically notify your attorney when a demand letter is received, or loop in your insurance adjuster on the claims relevant to them.
You can also set up required contacts to help ensure the right people are notified for the right incidents. For example, you can require that every property has an ownership or asset management contact to notify.
To set up contacts, navigate to Settings > System Settings > Maintenance > Incident Reports > select a template > Contacts.
Work Orders
Text messages are no longer sent to technicians when work orders are assigned to them. AppWork now relies on the push notifications we released several weeks ago.
When a recurring work order is generated, it now has a special icon to indicate that it’s recurring.
Inspections
You can now add more characters to the dropdown options when creating an inspection template.
Inspections can now be autogenerated directly on the move in or move out date
Text Messages
You can now see when a resident has opted out of text messages from AppWork, along with instructions on how to help them opt back in.
