Switching maintenance software is a big decision. What if we use a different Property Management System (PMS)? AppWork integrates with all the major platforms: Yardi, RealPage, Entrata, AppFolio, MRI, ResMan, and Rent Manager. You can run multiple PMS integrations simultaneously within a single AppWork environment, so if part of your portfolio is on Yardi and another part is on RealPage, AppWork handles both in one place. That's especially valuable for complex or less common repair types where a tech might otherwise need to make multiple trips.

How does user management work? You have options. AppWork can handle user provisioning and deprovisioning on your behalf, your team can manage it directly through the admin portal, or you can automate it entirely via AppWork's open API. For larger portfolios, many clients connect their HR system to AppWork through the API so user access stays in sync with their roster automatically. New hires get added, terminated employees get removed, with no manual steps on either side. Your Customer Success Manager (CSM) can help set that up.

Can property and manager assignment changes sync automatically too? Yes. Changes to active properties and manager assignments can flow into AppWork automatically via the open API. If properties are regularly being added, removed, or reassigned across a large portfolio, we can build that sync into the integration so AppWork always reflects your current structure.

What does the user structure look like for a large operator? At larger companies, AppWork typically has four main user tiers: Corporate and executive users get portfolio-wide visibility: rollup dashboards, Insight Reports, and performance analytics across all properties and regions. Regional managers access their assigned properties only, with full reporting and the ability to manage work orders and technicians across their region. Property managers and maintenance supervisors handle day-to-day operations at their specific properties: assigning work, communicating with residents, and running reports. Maintenance technicians work entirely in the Technician App on their phones, receiving, completing, and closing work orders on the go. You control exactly who sees what through AppWork's role-based access and property-level permissions.

What happens to our data if we offboard a property? Your data stays intact. All work order history, inspection records, Make Ready logs, and other data for a deactivated property remains fully accessible in AppWork as long as your company is an active client. Nothing gets deleted when a property is removed from your active portfolio. You can still run reports, pull exports, and reference historical records at any time.
