What is the Top Maintenance Rating?

The AppWork Top Maintenance Rating is an exclusive recognition awarded to properties that demonstrate outstanding maintenance performance. Each season, we evaluate all properties using the AppWork system and identify the top 25 properties with the highest percentage of work orders rated with the highest average star rating.

Why the Top Maintenance Rating Matters

The Top Maintenance Rating badge is a reflection of overall resident sentiment towards the maintenance services at a property. It signifies that residents consistently experience high-quality service and satisfaction with how maintenance issues are handled. When you see the badge, you can be assured that the property is highly regarded by its current residents for its maintenance services.

Unlike other review sites where anyone can leave reviews, our ratings are verified to be from residents only, and they can only leave reviews for actual work performed. This ensures that the ratings are authentic and relevant, providing a much higher quality indicator of the property’s maintenance performance compared to general maintenance-related reviews found elsewhere.

How It Works

1. Data Collection: We gather ratings for all work orders from properties using the AppWork system. Ratings range from 1 to 5, with 5 being the highest.
2. Evaluation: Each season, we calculate the percentage of work orders rated 4 or 5 stars for each property.
3. Top 25 Selection: The top 25 properties with the highest percentages of 4 & 5-star ratings are awarded the Top Maintenance Rating badge.
4. Recognition: Awarded properties receive a virtual badge to display on their website, showcasing their commitment to maintenance excellence.

When Are the Winners Announced?

The winners of the AppWork Top Maintenance Rating are announced each season on the following dates:

  • Spring: April 15th
  • Summer: July 15th
  • Fall: October 15th
  • Winter: January 15th
