Enhancing Efficiency: New Inspection Inputs, Manual Uploads & UI Updates

And we’re back with another update! Did you notice this is the second week in a row we’ve dropped new features? You’d better get used to it, because AppWork is now officially releasing new features and bug fixes every week. Let’s dive into what’s fresh in this round:

Introducing: Inspection Tags Selector

Admins can now set Inspection Tags as an inspection response input, unlocking a whole new level of customization with AppWork’s inspections module.

Navigate to: settings > system settings > maintenance > inspections > select inspection > select Tags from the input options.

Technicians on tech app version 8.2.4 will see a text input box for tags (no disruption to workflow). Full tag support arrives with version 8.2.5, coming later this week!

Make Ready Board: Cleaner, Smoother, Smarter

• Updated UI for a cleaner, more consistent look
• Clearer messaging when no units appear on the board (no more guessing!)
• Tooltips that actually stay on screen, imagine that!
• Smooth scrolling for filters and subscription with better sizing

New Admins, New Powers

When creating a new admin, you’ll now see a brand-new option: “Auto Add All New Properties.” Instead of editing an admin after creation, just toggle it on during setup. Boom, done in one step.

Inspection Upload Fix for Yardi Users

Inspection PDFs weren’t behaving right so we fixed that.
You can now independently set attachment types for Work Orders and Inspections in System Settings.

Yardi integrations should now handle inspection uploads smoothly again.

Manual Data Uploads

New possibility unlocked! You can now use AppWork’s system without a direct PMS integration by manually uploading .csv data.

To upload data: settings > system settings > core > data uploads

Faster Work Orders Tabs

We’ve optimized how tab counts load on the Work Orders index page.

20 Bugs Squashed and Counting!

You know we love new features, but we really love fixing things too.
Here are some of the 20 bugs we kicked to the curb this week:

• The Inspection Overview Report now handles long text inputs without breaking a sweat.
• We’ve updated the cost total design when viewing an inspection for cleaner readability.
• Fixed a pesky error when downloading images from the AB2801 Compliance Report.
• Large Inspection Results Reports (with thousands of units) now run smoothly, no more crash-and-burn.
• Make Ready filters got a scrollbar! When there are too many filters, you can now scroll easily in both the filter and subscription sections.
• Technicians now get text notifications when they’re mentioned in an inspection comment (tag away!).
• Improved mobile experience for editing recurring inspections fewer taps, smoother flow.

Also a bunch of other behind-the-scenes fixes that make AppWork faster and more reliable.

Two weeks in, and we’re just getting warmed up. Expect more improvements, more polish, and maybe even a few surprises after every weekend!
