Resident Approval for Inspections

We added the ability for residents to sign off on/approve completed inspections. This feature can be turned on as a requirement in the inspection template settings.

When enabled, the resident will receive an email upon the completion of the inspection with the ability to review and click “Approve”.

You’ll have clear and easy access to view the approval status, and even send reminder emails directly from the admin dashboard.

How to set it up:

  • Head to Settings > System Settings > Maintenance > Inspections
  • Select the inspection template you want to update
  • Click on settings and enable resident approval

Improved Compliance with California’s AB2801 Bill

To improve compliance with California's AB2801 bill, we’ve added the ability to require photos and/or comments on inspection items that don’t require further action, in addition to those that do.

The bill requires detailed before and after photos to charge residents for damage upon move-out.
Click here to learn more about AB 2801 and how it impacts property managers.

This isn’t just for California! It’s a great way for property management companies nationwide to improve their inspection documentation.

This setting is controlled at the template level and can be customized per template.

How to set it up:

  • Head to Settings > System Settings > Maintenance > Inspections
  • Select the inspection template you want to update
  • Click on settings and check off what you want to require for “All items”
