July’s Update

The New AppWork Intelligence Update

We’re thrilled to drop one of our biggest updates yet: a smarter AppWork built for faster completion time, and a more empowered maintenance team. Whether you’re a seasoned tech or just getting started, this release is built to back you up and the new AppWork Intelligence AI tool is leading the charge.

1. The New AI Work Order Resolution Tool Built to Think Like Your Best Technicians!

Say hello to your team’s new go-to assistant: AppWork Intelligence

AppWorks AI to analyize and generate ideas how to solve the work order

Now, whenever a resident submits a work order, AppWork uses generative AI to instantly analyze the description and generate 3–5 actionable tips that your technicians can use to resolve the issue faster and smarter.

Why it matters:

  • Newer “green” technicians get instant troubleshooting guidance, helping them grow more confident and effective with every work order.
  • Experienced pros benefit too, because even the best techs can overlook the basics. Sometimes that "AC not working" ticket? Yeah… the thermostat was just set to fan.
  • Available in both English and Spanish, so your whole team can take advantage, no matter their language preference.
  • Whether it’s plumbing, HVAC, electrical, or a leaking faucet, your team gets intelligent, situation-specific recommendations in real time.

This is the smartest way yet to get ahead of resident requests.

How to enable:
This must be enabled on a system level. Navigate to:
Settings > System Settings > Maintenance > Work Orders > AI Work Order Diagnosis and Resolution

2. New Role: Make Ready Admin

Introducing the Make Ready Admin a new admin role that only sees and manages the Make Ready board. Perfect for those focused on unit turns.

3. Simplified Admin Creation

We’ve reordered the fields when creating a new admin for a smoother, more intuitive flow.

4. Vendor List = Alphabetical Order

No more scrolling chaos vendors are now listed in A-to-Z.

5. Smarter Handling for Recurring Work Orders

We’ve improved how recurring work orders behave when assigned to a deactivated technician.

6. Cleaner Imports for Floorplans

You can now exclude units from specific floor plans or types (like offices or storage units) from importing into AppWork.

7. Auto-Add Property Permissions

Fixed an issue where new properties weren’t being added automatically for users that have the “auto add” setting enabled. All set now!

8. No More Duplicated Inspection Costs

Resolved an issue where costs were being duplicated in the inspection cost setup.

10. Post Error Management

  • Filter Unposted Work Orders: You can now filter work orders that haven’t been posted to your property management software — so nothing slips through the cracks.
  • Search by Post Error Message: Having trouble with a post error? You can now search work orders by error message, making troubleshooting much easier.
  • Clear Post Errors: You can now manually clear post errors, either one at a time or in bulk. Peace of mind, one click at a time.
  • Bulk Repost Work Orders: Speaking of bulk — you can now bulk repost failed work orders with ease. One and done.

14. Yardi Sync Improvements

  • Previously data would get lost in Yardi on work orders as they were imported to AppWork and then exported back to Yardi. We updated the method of imports so this doesn’t happen anymore.
  • You can now edit Yardi work orders even after they’re completed in AppWork. Everything stays in sync.
  • You can now setup both import and export mapping for Yardi work order status’s.

This release is all about boosting your team’s confidence, speed, and accuracy. With our biggest leap forward in AppWork Intelligence, your techs from rookies to veterans get the support they need to resolve more work orders in less time, with fewer mistakes.

Let us know how your team’s using the AI tips in the field and stay tuned. The future of maintenance is here, and it’s just getting started.
