Faster Inspections and Stronger Asset Tracking Tools

As you can tell, we’ve been busy! This release brings some exciting upgrades, from speeding up inspections to improving asset tracking and strengthening our API capabilities. This update is all about helping your teams move faster and stay focused on what matters most.

Here’s what’s new.

New Default Inspection Responses

Inspections just got a whole lot faster. You can now set default responses for inspection items. This means your team only needs to mark the items that actually need attention.

For example, you can set the default response to “Good.” If a technician skips an item, it will automatically be marked as good, allowing them to move quickly through the inspection and only flag issues that require action.

This dramatically reduces inspection time and keeps your team focused on the items that require action.

To configure it:

Settings → System Settings → Maintenance → Inspections → Select Template → "If left blank, mark as:" → Choose your preferred response

New Asset Tracking Exports

Need your asset data outside of AppWork? You can now export all assets from the Asset Tracking system to .CSV, making it easy to analyze, report, or share information with your team.

Smoother Asset Tracking Experience

We made several under-the-hood improvements to Asset Tracking to make it faster, smoother, and more reliable across the system.

Expanded Public API Controls

We’ve expanded our public API to give administrators more flexibility. You can now update the following fields via API:

• Admin Role
• Admin Username

These additions make it easier to manage users programmatically and integrate AppWork with other systems.

Improved Error Visibility for AppWork <> Yardi Make Ready Integration

We added enhanced error handling when marking units as Ready in AppWork when the Yardi integration is enabled. If an error occurs, it will now be clearly displayed on the Make Ready board, giving your team immediate visibility so issues can be addressed quickly.

Improved Comment Notifications

We resolved an issue where only the first person mentioned in a comment would receive a notification. Now, everyone tagged in the comment will be notified as expected.

Make Ready Inspection Linking Fix

We fixed an issue where inspections were created but not properly linked on the Make Ready board, ensuring inspections now appear correctly in the workflow.
