AppWork Release Notes – Fresh Features, Faster Tools, and a Few Bugs That Met Their Match

Another round of updates are here to improve your multi-family maintenance operations — and we’re excited! This release includes new features, meaningful enhancements, and some important bug fixes, all designed to make your AppWork maintenance experience smoother, smarter, and even more connected.

Whether you're managing technicians, posting to Yardi, uploading files, or simply organizing your work orders, this release brings tools that help you move faster and work better. It's part of our ongoing mission to make maintenance magic happen — without the chaos.

New Features

Technician Skill Codes (Yardi Integration)

You can now set a default Yardi Skill Code for each technician directly from their profile. This means every completed work order will be posted to Yardi with that technician’s designated skill code — giving you cleaner reporting and less manual entry.

Set it up here: Technicians > [Select Technician] > Edit Profile > PMS Mapping ([Select Technician Name As Listed In Yardi]) > Skill Code ([Select From The Available Skillcodes])

Phone Numbers for New Admins

When creating a new admin, you can now add their phone number on the spot. A small touch that makes a big difference when you need to reach the right person quickly.

Resident Info via API

For our developer friends: You can now fetch all resident data by property using the API. One call, all the info. Perfect for syncing, reporting, and impressing your boss with fancy dashboards.

Enhancements

Faster Cloud Uploads

We’ve implemented a brand new upload server for the admin portal that makes file uploads to the cloud faster and more reliable. Coming soon to the tech app as well!

Filter Cleanup

The filters section in Work Orders, Inspections, and Make Ready Boards has been cleaned up — we removed the ambiguous “more” text to keep things simple and intuitive.

Property Group Search

Working with multiple property groups? The new search bar on the Property Groups Settings page makes finding the right one a breeze.

Work Order Categories

Changing a work order category now comes with a search box, so you can stop scrolling and get straight to the right category.

Bug Fixes

• Work Orders Not Posting to Yardi:
  Some work orders were slipping through the cracks without reporting errors. We’ve patched it, reposted them all, and tightened things up.

• PO Approval Buttons:
  They ghosted us. We found them. They're back where they belong.

• Exporting Inspection Photos:
  Some users had trouble exporting photos. That’s fixed. Snap, export, done.

• Task Time Report Filter Bug:
  A filtering bug was throwing off your reports. It’s been fixed and verified.

• Missing Costs in Autogenerated Inspections:
  These inspections are now behaving and including all the correct cost data.

• Vacant Units Report:
  Previously showing incomplete task data — now showing completions accurately and in full.
