4 Time Management Tips
Greetings. It's Dr. Debbie, and today my topic is on time management. It's one of my very favorite topics. Have you ever heard you can always make more money, but you can't make more time? We all have a finite amount of time. Think about if someone deposited si- $86,400 in your bank account. Well, that's how many seconds are in one day.
So how would you spend your time? And I like things that rhyme, so I'm gonna give you four core ways to manage your time. The very first thing is to prioritize with purpose. I call it that 80/20 rule. 20% of the things you do produce 80% of your results. So as Stephen Covey would say, "Focus on the big rocks.
Don't sort the gravel." Think about what are the most important things that have to get done today. Number two is to protect your boundaries, learning to say no. I struggle with that, and I just wanna encourage you to think about saying, "Not now," uh, "but maybe later," and protect your boundaries. You can't pour from an empty cup.
The third thing is to, um, prioritize and use time blocking. So maybe you're doing paperwork. Maybe you're helping your community manager on inventory control or a variance report. So if those are tedious things to you, batch 'em and set a time limit. And then the fourth thing I want you to do is reflect.
It's progress over perfection, and just think about those incremental improvements that you can do that help you save time, manage your time, and make yourself more effective. So those are my core four things: prioritize with purpose, batch like projects together, learn to say no, protect your boundaries, and reflect and review.
I look forward to seeing you in the next video, and in the meantime, keep winning and keep using your time effectively.
