Testing the Pressure Sensor
So what I'm gonna do is I'm gonna zoom in on that pressure sensor section, and you can clearly see over here that, uh, it is an eight-pin chip, right? It's gonna have a little tube at the top, and of course, we'll look at, we'll look at a, a real picture a little bit later on. But one thing I want you to realize is, or, or to notice here, is that it is telling you to measure output voltage, connect your probes between pins four and three.
Now, what this allows you to do, my friends, in a pressure sensor, it, is it gives you the ability with voltage to know how much water is actually being detected. Not how much water is really in there, but how much water is being detected by the pressure sensor. So if you have a couple inches of water, you're gonna get some kind of a voltage value.
If you have no water, that value, the voltage value, is gonna go down. And if you have even more water than that, the, the voltage value is gonna go up. So there's a table for that, of course, on the diagram, on the tech sheet. But, uh, obviously you need to know where to put your multimeter leads, and that is why the schematic diag- diagram tells you, "Place your leads between pins three and four," which is your ground and your output
