As a new supervisor or an experienced one looking for new ideas, you can shadow supervisors that you look up to, that you respect and you admire, and you appreciate the way that they handle themselves, the way that they conduct themselves with people when they're in wonderful moods. When things go wrong, what are the things that you want to demonstrate as a supervisor?

Maybe have people walk through things with you, talk to people that oversee other divisions and departments, and start to gain their insights as well. But learn the different ways that other people learn, and then start to identify if it's visual, auditory, kinesthetic, and make sure that the way that you approach that person's learning is that the way that they can learn most effectively.

And you'll be a better supervisor for that.
