You never know who's at the front desk or who came to greet you. It could be the CEO, it could be a vice president of the company, or it could be someone that you'll work with and you don't know that, and the way you come across should be very professional.
Courteous, respectful. Shake their hand, greet them, have good, pleasant, professional dialogue. And then of course, wait patiently. Too often I've seen someone on their way to an interview and someone greets them at the door and basically the person is like. Yeah, I am here for an interview. Who are you? And they shake hands and they just come off the wrong way, and it ruined the interview for them.
