A water heater element should have between 10 and 30 ohms if you want to know if it's working properly. So if we flip this to Ohms and we put one lead on one screw, one lead on the other screw.

We can see that we are good to go. Anything that says zero or one, if you're checking a he an element with ohms. If it's zero or one, you have a bad element and you need to replace it in order to replace the element. You wanna make sure that your, obviously your power is off, but you wanna make sure your.

Your water is off. You never, ever, ever replace a water heater element with a pressurized tank. Um, but this is a, a, a nut on the side here. Uh, there's a special wrench that attacks it, uh, attaches over it, and you would twist it off like you would anything else. But, uh, this element's good. So we are going to leave it alone.
