Using Service Mode on GE Dishwashers
Alright, so let's go ahead and do that. We're gonna go back to the presentation over here. Let's zoom out and we're gonna go to the service mode entry. Now you have to do this while you are in fault code mode. So in order to be able to accomplish this, you have to have already been in fault code mode.
And what's gonna happen here, my friends, is that you are going to press and hold. The furthest most pad on the left, which happens to be the cycle button, you're gonna press it for five seconds. And once you do that, you are going to be in, in service mode. Okay? But anyway, going back to this, the, these sort of service mode over here, if the L LEDs blink in a certain sequence, it means that you can control a specific component again, once you are in service mode.
Alright? The first thing that's gonna happen is the normal LED or the heavy LED, depending on the model that you're working with, okay, is going to flash according to the chart. So if we go to the chart over here, let's go ahead and zoom in because we do want you to understand this. Thoroughly. So the first, the first component that you can test is going to be the drain pump.
And that's gonna be indicative by the LED blinking once, right? So it flashes once, then it pauses, then it flashes again, pauses. The second component you can run is the water valve, and that is gonna be shown if that's gonna be available if the LED blinks twice. So essentially what you have to do in order to skip through these, I'm gonna say it or jump through these, is press the.
Press the start pad in, in order to be able to cycle th actually not the start pad, sorry. You're gonna press the furthest most pad on the left to select the desired test. So press the cycle key in this particular case to jump to the next test. So again, the first test, as I mentioned before, is gonna be the drain pump.
Then the water valve, then the circulation pump, and how you know which tests you're running depends on how many times the LED blinks. So let's say you wanted to run the detergent module. The LED will need to blink five times.
