Respectful Repairs in Resident Units
Hello. Now we're the next topic is going to be acting professional while you're doing maintenance repairs in units. I understand that we all are talented maintenance workers. You're doing an understanding job in the complexes. You're doing good. You're doing great yet. Remember we are also an extension of the management team, so in order for you to be alert.
At all times while you're doing your repairs. And also as a way to be courteous to residents in the properties. Try to follow the following tips that I would like to give you. One is if you're using or listening to music, perhaps, because it helps you with the process of doing the repairs during the day.
That's okay to a certain point, but make sure that the informa that the music is at a level that is reasonable for you to hear, but at the same time that it doesn't disturb the peaceful enjoyment of the main, the tenants within the complex of the apartments. At the same time, make sure you use information and use music that seems maybe your taste, but be careful that you don't use.
For example, music that has bulgar language language that is not acceptable for miners, for example, or language that may be insulting for others. Not everybody has the same taste of music and you're gonna need to respect that. Yes, people have to respect you, you have to do that. But there's also a time and a place, and when you can do that, if for whatever reason some management companies do accept people using their music to a certain point, find the also that don't do that.
Take a more conservative approach, but if that helps you as a maintenance technician, as long as it's reasonable and professional when it comes to your behavior, make sure that you do that. That you do not bring music that could be a different taste and it could be loud. You want to prevent being accused of something because you'll listen to some type of music that may not be acceptable for others.
And at the same time, imagine if somebody was coming to your house with loud music even though they're doing their job, but at the same time is a professional. It's not. I think there's a right and there's a place and a time place, a time where you can do this at your own personal time. But at the same time, you need to make sure that when you're doing your work, you do it in a way that is professional.
And that you're not disturbing the peaceful enjoyment of others. So when it comes to music, we wanna prevent people doing that. When, for example, if you're doing work outside in an area, putting too much loud music making it disturbing because there's always gonna be tenants that may complain about that.
Be fair. Imagine that you were the tenant. Imagine that you were in a situation where you don't want to hear music that. Talks bad about certain things it's okay to, people have different taste of music, but at the same time, it needs to be moderate, it needs to be respectful, and you need to make sure that you're not disturbing the piece of others.
So highly encourage you to follow those steps. And if I. For whatever reason, certain management companies do not allow people to listen to music and all that. That's also acceptable. That's a conservative approach of doing this so that it cannot escalate to something worse when it comes to people making complaints, tenant making complaints.
Remember, we're about customer service, right? About making sure that we doing our job, but at the same time that we're taking care of the people and respecting. The different taste or the different points of views of others. So it's not good to mix one thing with the other and simply act professional. Do your job and don't use meals that could be insulting for others.
Okay, I hope that helps you and keep going and continue doing your great job as maintenance technicians.
