Replacing a Faucet Aerator
All right. Say you have a bad aerator. Say that there. There could be some if, if you can turn the water on and no water's coming out, or if it's spraying out in a weird pattern, it could be that the aerator itself is clogged. The best way for this, I just used my hand and was able to get this to break loose, but this just twists off and you can see, you see some kind of.
A debris stuck in there, but this is a dual aerator. You can see the threads here, so that means it threads to the inside, but this also has threads on the outside. So this aerator would work on potentially a couple different faucets, but we have it for this one. You can take this rubber washer out, you can take this screen out.
All of these bits and pieces can come apart, so you can clean them to get them. UNC clogged. But that is a, uh, pretty simple, easy way to get, uh, an aerator check. There we go. So you see there's still some debris in there. We'll get that cleaned out and we'll put it back on. If you do have the instance where you can't take this off with your hand and you need to use, uh, a set of channel locks or pliers.
You need to put something around this first, grab a cloth, put it over, and then put your channel locks on the cloth so that you don't tear up the finish on the, the aerator, the chrome on the aerator. You want that to stay clean, nice and neat.
