Preventative Maintenance: General Tips
Hey everyone. Let's talk about preventative maintenance and what it means and what it can do for the life of your property and for your positions as maintenance professionals. So some general tips across all of your equipment and your systems Thing, number one, and this is the hardest thing to do, is to create a schedule and stick to it.
We all know life as a maintenance is unpredictable. You have emergencies, you have things pop up, you have make readies move-ins, move out, inspections, evictions, you name it. There are a number of things that can take you off of a schedule and prevent you from getting back onto it. But when it comes to PMs, this needs to be, or preventative maintenance just.

You can also give some resident education, give residents simple maintenance tips like how to change their HVAC filter. How to unclog the garbage disposal, how to replace the batteries in their thermostat or their electronic door locks. They will appreciate it and it will save you time later. And then standardize your checklists.
