Take a look at this gas oven from lg. Now notice that the igniter glows, but the flame is not being initiated. That's because the gas valve is not releasing the gas to go through the tube. And I'm gonna show you guys how to fix this because this one kind of threw me for a loop, and I wanna be able to help anyone else who run across this problem in the future.

So I'll replace that control board. And I was still having that issue. So what I found out is that with these igniters, if something gets on it or if it has like a small hairline crack, it'll still glow, but it will not send enough amperage to the gas valve to indicate that it needs to open to release the gas.

And I didn't find this out until after I replaced that board and I was still getting the same results. So before you start buying any control boards or. Any displays or any gas valves, check that igniter first because that could save you a heck of a lot of time and money. So what I'm doing now is turning the oven back on and I'm making sure that it is heating up.

And, uh, there we.
