Today we're gonna go over the O-ring that seals the valve. When the water table lowers, the O-ring that's in the hydrostatic valve is rubber and it can lose its elasticity over time.
Due to chlor exposure, your hydrostatic valve with the deteriorated O-ring can lose up to 50 to a hundred gallons a day. Another common problem is you wanna get yours inspected post storm because with all the rain it could raise the water table and debris could get caught inside and not allow it to latch and seal properly.
