We're gonna be talking about the, the contactor and how exactly it works. Uh, the contactor is basically an electromagnet. Uh, you have low voltage, your 24 volt wires, uh, who come, come in on the sides. And what they do is they power a electromatic coil that is back here. And once that magnet receives its power.

It then pulls in this plunger, which sends power or your high voltage power through. But right now I have the thermostat off, so it's not calling for power, but you can manually touch this to get power to your high voltage. But for the sake of the video, let's turn our thermostat on and once. The thermostat.

Uh, once the, the thermostat calls for the temperature that 24 volts will be sent out. That contactor will be electrified and high voltage will be sent. Boom. There you go. That's how a contactor works.
