So if I take this off now, I've cut the power. That little coil, uh, or, or thermo disc is gonna cool down. But say I wanna check outside. I want to see if my power's going outside to the condensing unit. I'll take this little end and I'll put it on the yellow wire. Boom, there it goes. All I'm doing is bypassing the thermostat, telling it what to do.
And I am manually telling it what to do if at any point my thermostat and under normal operating procedure does not cause this to happen. I can test the thermostat by jumping wires, and as long as it's doing what I'm asking it to do when I place these wires, you know, or I'm sorry if I'm placing these leads and everything is coming on, so I know I have power.
But if the thermostat is not sending power, then you know you have a bad thermostat.
