How to Clear a Tub Drain Easily
All right. We're gonna talk about how easy it is to clear a tub drain. This particular tub stopper is very easy to get off. You just twist it off and it comes out. You can see there's a couple little pins here. If this were to. Get into the mode where it stops that pivot, that little bracket would go down.
Here is where it would set if it was in like shower mode, but this is all one piece. So this whole thing just twists off. You can use some channel locks on this to twist it off. I was able to get it off by hand. That's not always the case, but. Sometimes it just works out that way. And you can see you got some crud down there.
I've got a couple different tools I like. These are just some needle nose you can scrape, but if you need something. Stronger
go with the actual bigger needle nose.
You could just take this whole tub drain out if you wanted. Pretty easy to get things out that way too. You would need a wrench to get the tub drain out
very difficult. To do one handed board.
Here we go. We're getting somewhere now.
Try not to use drain cleaner on these things. This it is just take the drain cover off, use some needle nose and just pull it out. Sometimes you get, tends to be just a bunch of hair. Sometimes those little plastic covers that come on, razors get shoved down in there. Caps from.
Shampoo or anything somebody has to twist off. But doing it this way, you can save your pipes, takes a little bit longer. You actually have to do some work. You can't just
it.
And now you can actually see that drain is pretty clear, but we'll run some water real quick.
