Be Identifiable
Are you identifiable as a member of the team at your property? The reason why this is important is because our residents have chosen to live in an apartment, and quite frequently people think of an apartment as a neighborhood, as a community, as a group of people that have something in common. That's something in common.
Is just geography unless our residents are getting to know one another. One of the best ways to make residents feel safe in their own home is to reinforce that message of community. Another words be identifiable as a person who works. In that neighborhood. I mean a neighborhood of residential homes, you've got spread out over, in some cases, square miles.
Our community, they're spread out over a much, much smaller space, and what that means is our residents are going to talk. This can be great. It can also not be quite so good. If you are not easily recognizable as a member of the employees of that community, residents when they talk, are going to talk about you in certain ways, and all they have to go on is just your appearance.
Therefore, wear professional, wear yourself professionally, buy that. If you have a shirt that needs to be tucked in. Tuck it in. Be sure that you keep yourself clean. Now, I'm not talking surgical clean, but I am saying that we need to be presentable. Everything that you do is being seen. Conduct yourself in that way.
That way we give the best perception for our residents possible.
